Briefly Discussing S2H2 of Callaway Golf Clubs

When we talk about Callaway Golf Clubs, there is a word must be referred to. It is S2H2 technology. What is the meaning of S2H2? Here is the answer. S2 means Short and Straight, while H2 means Hollow and Hosel.

S2H2 could be said to be a gigantic breakthrough in golf clubs design and manufacture and one of most successful achievement of Callaway golf. As we all know, clubs with longer hosel may have a higher center of gravity. Hollowed out technology is also called Modified Tru-Bore Technology. It makes the shaft tip extend from the club head to the sole, near the center of clubs face. This technology is able to elevate the feel.

S2H2 technology makes the hosel shorter, which is important to lower the center of gravity by dispersing more weight to the sole and perimeter of golf clubs. This is in line with the early strategy of Callaway Golf Clubs, to produce and sell golf clubs for those mid to high handicap golf players. Of course S2H2 is such a benefit for relatively low level golfers to get improved. Those Callaway golf clubs used S2H2 are game-improving clubs and suitable for common golf players. The tour version Callaway clubs do not use S2H2, so they are preferred by many professional golf players. A great many of the better golfers may seek a more traditional feel, more traditional top line and hosel shapes.

As a key technology, S2H2 is widely used in a lot of Callaway golf clubs. Most of Callaway drivers and Callaway irons, like Callaway x22 irons have adopted such technology. Of course Tour Version golf clubs don't use S2H2.

From 2008, Callaway golf began to think over whether they need to make some change and be adapted to the competitive marketing. From then on, Callaway Golf Clubs started to shift their marketing group from mid-high handicap players to low handicaps. They though it was time to make some good equipment to higher level players. So Callaway Golf Company continued to produce both hosel golf clubs and no hosel golf clubs. Many of the lower handicap players that preferred the more traditional top line and hosel shapes could have another option in the golf seasons ahead. As you may already find it now actually, Callaway golf is making more clubs objected at the experienced golfers, such as forged Irons, forged Wedges, hosels and so on.
