Great Forgiving Clubs are Taylor Made Burner Plus Irons

The TaylorMade Burner Plus Irons were released to the golf world in 2008, and are designed and intended to be very easy to hit and also very forgiving.

The head of TaylorMade Burner Plus Irons has a relatively large sole on these Burner Plus Irons, which is suppost to help players to launch the golf ball better. The clubs also have quite a large club face to also help in making hitting the ball easier, whether in the fairway or in the rough.

TaylorMade have included what is called Superfast Technology with these irons. Which here means slightly lighter and longer shafts, with the intention of increasing a players swing speed so that the ball will fly off the club face faster.

One of the first things that we noticed was that the large club faces on these irons do help to inspire confidence at address. However it does take afew practice swings and afew shots to get used to the overall lighter weight of the irons, but this isn't too much of an issue.

As mentioned, these TaylorMade irons were intended to be easy to hit, and they certainly are that. Once you get used to the weight and get a feel for the clubs, it probably wouldn't be too difficult for most golfers, even higher handicappers, to start hitting reasonably consistent shots, and playing better golf.

Also another thing that was very clear, and something that everyone whom we spoke to who has used the TaylorMade Burner Plus irons seemed to agree on, is how impressive the distance and power is with these clubs.

While not being the most important factor that the majority of golfers would look for in an iron. It is an area that these irons definitely deliver on.

Despite launching the ball on a fairly high trajectory alot of the time, the distance and carry is still very good due to the impressively high ball speeds that the Burner Plus irons create.

The first time you try these irons on the course you could find yourself over-clubbing alot. So the extra distance is something that takes a little bit of getting used, just like the lighter weight.

Forgiveness wise though the Burner Plus irons do perform reasonably well, admittedly the ball didn't always go where it was intended. But about 8 or 9 times out of 10 a mis-hit was still in the right ball park, very rarely was a bad strike severely punished.

Despite that though, we still feel that there are probably slightly more forgiving irons out there from TaylorMade. But that's usually without offering you the distance that the Burner Plus irons do.

For the better players, these irons do offer a decent amount of workability when trying to manipulate the flight of shots. A capable golfer who knows what they're doing should certainly be able to achieve some good results.

Overall the Burner Plus irons could really benefit any level of golfer who would particularly like more distance in their iron play. It will be very difficult for most players to find and iron that they can carry further than the Burner Plus.
