Brand-new Design at Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Wood

The MX-700 range shows Mizuno drop the conservative blue color scheme for a more aggressive yellow and enter the world of the pumped up, big banging sticks that are modern drivers and woods and Mizuno had this to say about their new clubs,Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Wood

Like the driver the MX-700 Fairway uses Hot Metal technology in its steel clubface to increase ball speed and as with the driver this means the fairway wood is extremely forgiving and delivers consistent results on even off centre hits. This forgiveness and consistency has seen Mizuno pitch the MX-700 Fairway as a direct replacement for those players who are unsure of taking their driver off the tee.

Weight saved from the ES230 steel face also allows an increased crown width – optimising the COR effect and encouraging use from the tee as a genuine driver alternative.

This Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Wood delivers a larger COR area and increased ball speed for what can only be defined as big-time distance. The combo is quite lethal and lightweight and allows you to generate a great deal of clubhead speed.

The MX-700 is a great improvement on previous Mizuno fairway woods which have lacked the feel to compliment their looks and performance. Both the feel and sound are excellent and most players will enjoy the classic zing sound at impact.

The performance was also excellent with the club scoring highly for both forgiveness and accuracy although it may lack the workability that the better player demands.  Golf Club Sets The design is also impressive and the understated looks mask the increased size of the clubface at address.

With the MX-700, that shot becomes much easier to pull off as it launches the ball quite easily and quickly without a whole lot of effort. The sole slides through the turf quite nicely as well whether you're in the fairway or the rough. With the ES230 steel face and Hot Metal technology, the ball comes off quite hot and seemingly goes for ever. If you struggle for distance, the MX-700 can certainly give you quite a boost. Going for a par five in two has never been quite so fun.

The Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Woodis available as a 3, 5 and 7 wood and is certainly a great choice for the mid to high handicapper especially those of you wanting a fairway wood that will be reliable from the tee.
