Williams Thinks Tiger Woods Is Wrong for Firing Him
Tiger Woods stepped from behind a microphone, thankful to be done with a short interview that felt like an intrusion. He took 23 questions, most of them about his golf, a few others about his left leg, then walked off without looking at anyone.
After Adam Scott beat the field by four strokes to win the Bridgetone Invitational WGC, all the talk should have been about Scott's spectacular shots and saves on the final day. Why is anyone talking about a caddie after Adam Scott won the tournament in impressive fashion? Williams violated the cardinal role of being a caddie. Rule No. 1 of being a caddie: Do not draw attention to yourself.
Williams felt he was unjustly
fired by Woods last month after he agreed to caddie for Scott while Woods was recovering from injuries to his left leg. He was particularly upset when Woods accused him of being disloyal by working with Scott, given that Williams felt he'd stood by the 14-time major champion in the wake of the sex scandal that so engulfed him.Williams said last week was emotional because he knew Woods would be returning to golf at Firestone Country Club. He was determined to prove Woods wrong for firing him.
Enough of Stevie Williams. Adam Scott, a former UNLV standout, played one of the best tournaments of his career and he did it with aggressive play. Scott never wavered under the pressure of the lead. Scott never gave up, and on Sunday, Scott was deadly.Scott shot one birdie on the front nine and then he finished with four birdies on t
he back nine. Scott has always been a smart and aggressive golfer and he will win several majors in his career. Scott did not bogey a hole on the first day of the tournament or the last day.
So what do you think? Do you think Williams Thinks Tiger Woods Is Wrong for Firing Him? Maybe the truth is well known by themselves. But most people in the world are golf fans, they may support Tiger Woods. So dd I.
